Lately I've been getting into films about writers and musicians. I was inspired to watch a bunch of rockumentaries for one of the characters I'm writing who has romantic notions of The Artist. A funny thing happened when I went to book a table for our Penheads meet this week. I was checking with the maitre d at the prospective venue in Flinders Lane whether it was okay if we held our "writing group" on one of their slim communal tables at the front of the restaurant. Last week we met back as usual at Council House 2. Do you think the venue is working as a bar / restaurant and is it working for the Penheads? I think the answer is unresolved in both cases.
